Oasis Haven

Oasis Haven provides extensive quality education, health care and support to the children. In order to continue with these provisions, long term commitment is required from various potential sponsors. Without the help of donors providing the children with care would simply not be possible. As an NPO, Oasis Haven runs on the generosity of corporates, communities, church groups and government grants. As with all children in order to meet all their needs the costs are often astronomical. In addition to the above-mentioned expenses caregiver salaries are paramount to the success of our model thus making fundraising pivotal to the sustainability of our programs.

In order to meet the needs of all 20 children who call Oasis Haven home approximately R900 000 per annum is required. This would only cover their education, transport, utilities, and food. Currently Government subsidies cover 15% of our annual budget leaving a significant short fall.

Description

Oasis Haven is a fully registered Child and Youth Care Center that was established in 2002 and is based in Randburg, Johannesburg. We run a total of two homes, one that houses girls and another that houses boys. We care for 20 children as well as running a foster care program that places children in the care of private individuals. Our mission and vision are centered on providing quality medical care, education and family for children at risk. Our family homes model aims to give the beneficiaries a firm foundation that will enables the girls and boys
to become self-sufficient and confident members of society by modelling a family structure and environment that best fosters their development.

Our dream is for every vulnerable child to be in a loving, forever family. We want to live that vision, not just talk about it. That’s why we work to break the cycle of vulnerable children by loving them as our own and working to provide family through adoption or in our family homes.
